Paul and Layla in Los Angeles

Hi everyone.  We finally made it here.  We left Monday, Sept. 22nd at 2:00 PM and arrived at 6:00 AM on Thursday, Sept 25th.  We stopped twice, Monday night and Tuesday night.  We probably should have stopped Wednesday, too, but we were in Flagstaff that night and Layla looked at me and said, "so you think we should stop and sleep somewhere?"  It was right at that moment we saw our first LOS ANGELES sign.  I pointed it out to Layla, "Los Angeles, 400 miles."  For a second she had a big smile on her face, and then she quickly realized what that road sign really meant.  "You don't plan on stopping anymore, do you Paul?"  She already knew the answer.  We had already been driving for 13 hours that day but now we knew just how close we were.  Another 400 miles really wasn't that far, so we went for it.   By the end I'd say we were in the Danger Ranger for  about 36 hours during the two and half day stretch.  We drove over 2,200 miles and passed through 8 states (WI, IL, MO, OK, TX, NM, AZ, CA).  Our cross-country road trip was definitely an unforgettable adventure.  According to Layla, a once in a lifetime experience.  She's already decided we're flying everywhere from now on.
